ABS plastic was swelled in a solution of 0-40vol.% 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate, etched slightly with a chromium-free KMnO4-H2SO4-PO3-4 solution, and electrolessly plated with nickel in a bath containing NiSO4·6H2O 28 g/L, NaH2PO2·H2O 32 g/L, citric acid 15 g/L, CH3COONa·3H2O 15 g/L, and KIO3 1 mg/L at temperature 75 °C and pH 5.0±0.2 for 40-60 min. The effects of volume fraction of 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate, pH, temperature and swelling time on slight etching efficiency of ABS plastic were studied. The swelling process conditions were optimized as follows:2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl acetate 30%, temperature 35 °C, pH 4.0, and time 5 min. The water contact angle of ABS swelled under the given conditions followed by slight etching at 70 °C for 10 min is 29.36°, and the nickel coating plated electrolessly on it is even and smooth with an adhesion strength of 1.02 kN/m.%先采用体积分数为0% ~ 40%的乙酸卡比醇酯溶液对ABS塑料进行溶胀,再采用无铬KMnO4-H2SO4-PO3-4体系进行微蚀,最后进行化学镀镍(配方和工艺条件为:NiSO4·6H2O 28 g/L,NaH2PO2·H2O 32 g/L,柠檬酸15 g/L,CH3COONa·3H2O 15 g/L, KIO31 mg/L,pH 5.0 ± 0.2,温度75 °C,时间40 ~ 60 min).研究了乙酸卡比醇酯体积分数、pH、温度及溶胀时间对ABS塑料微蚀效果的影响,得到溶胀的最佳工艺条件为:乙酸卡比醇酯体积分数30%,pH = 4.0,温度35 °C,时间5 min.在该工艺条件下溶胀后,再在70 °C下微蚀10 min,ABS的表面水接触角为29.36°,化学镀可得到平整光滑、黏合强度为1.02 kN/m的镍镀层.
