It is highly significant that some abandoned industrial construction components, for example silo, are changed into civil architecture by retrofitting and extension. In this paper, the structural design of retrofitting and extension for an existing RC silo by project example is introduced, and the general process for structural design of retrofitting and extension for building is presented. Determining of structural scheme, structural calculating, controlling of difference in subsidence between new pile foundation and existing pile foundation, detailing of joint conneted new member with existing member, strengthening of silo and improving durability of existing concrete are analysed and discussed as well. This paper may provides reference for designer in similar projects.%一些废弃的工业构筑物如筒仓等,通过改扩建使之成为民用建筑,很有意义.本文通过某钢筋混凝土筒仓改扩建结构设计实例,介绍了房屋改扩建结构设计一般流程,并对结构方案的确定、结构计算分析、新老桩基的沉降差控制、新老构件连接节点的构造处理、筒壁的加固和老旧混凝土结构耐久性的提高等进行了分析和探讨.本文方法可供类似工程改扩建结构设计参考.
