Aim: We studied the effect of chemical sympathectomy by 6-hydroxydopamine (6OHDA) on pain behavior and α2-adrenergic antinociception in rats with a spinal nerve ligation-induced neuropathy or a sham-operation. Methods: For assessment of tactile allodynia, the hindlimb withdrawal threshold was determined by monofilaments. Paw pressure test was used for assessment of mechanical nociception and hyperaigesia.
