制约小学英语教材开发的环境因素与对策研究

     

摘要

When developing English textbooks, we have to adapt them to the environment in which they are to be used. The environmental factors that have a strong influence on the development of China's English textbooks are: the nature of English education in China, China's English education policy, the quality of English teachers, the number of class hours available for English, the calss size, and available classroom equipment. Accordingly, we need to balance students' chances of "learning" English and "acquiring" English; we have to be innovative within the limits of our English education policy; we should not only adapt the textbooks to the level of teachers, but also try to improve their professional level; we need to make the books flexible; we need to design activities suitable for large classes; we should avoid using multimedia equipment too often in activities designed for textbooks, while making good use of it in activities designed for supplementary materials.%开发英语教材要立足于我国的英语教学环境。我国英语教学的性质、英语教育政策、英语教师素质、英语课时设置、班额和教学硬件设施等几个环境因素,对小学英语教材开发的影响和制约比较明显。因此,在开发教材中,要把握“习得”与“学得”的度;要在遵循课程标准精神的前提下实现创新;既要适应教师水平,又要对其进行引导;要考虑课时不一的因素,为教师增删教材留有余地;活动形式要适应大班教学需求;要“因陋就简”和“立体化配套”相结合。
