The difficulties in the construction of well walls in high rise and super high rise buildingsrninclude improving construction speed and work efficiency, reducing risks of well wall operation, ensuring construction quality, shortening the occupation time of vertical transport machines and rapid movement within a confined space. Based on the project of Block 03-26 in Yujiabao Financial District of Tianjin, the authors introduce the construction technology of a self-climbing well wall formwork with small climbing steps. Details are introduced for the principle of hydraulic self-climbing well wall formwork, technical specification of the scheme, anti-deviation and rectification and so on.
