DATA REDUCTION OF SNAPSHOT VLBI OBSERVATIONS

Data reduction techniques have been developed for generating images of radio sourcesfrom snapshot very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations with poor u-v coverage.The reliability of the radio source structures is discussed. Reference is made to 3C48, observedat 50 cm with a global array in a snapshot mode.
