Objective: To investigate the influencing factors of the level of hope and its associations with the social support among family caregivers of patients with advanced cancer. Methods: A convenient sample of advanced cancer patients and their family caregivers from five tertiary level first class hospitals in Xi'an were selected. The hope level and social support of family caregivers of advanced cancer patients were investigated with Herth Hope Index and Social Support Rating Scale, and self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the general, disease and care related conditions of advanced cancer patients and their caregivers. Results: The hope level score of family caregivers of advanced cancer patient was 36.57±4.65, which was a medium to high level; the total score of social support was 37.27±7.38, and it was higher than the Chinese norm (P<0.01); the hope level was positively correlated with social support (r=0.412). Multiple regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of level of hope in caregivers were caregiver support utilization, evaluated physical condition of the patient by caregiver, objective and subjective support, the total household monthly income and age. Conclusion: The medical workers should pay more attention to caregivers of cared patient with poor condition in two weeks, lack of social support, older and economic difficulties and provide knowledge and care support for them to improve their level of hope.%目的 :调查晚期癌症患者家庭照顾者希望水平的影响因素及与社会支持的相关性.方法 :采用便利抽样法选取西安市5所三级甲等医院的住院晚期癌症患者及其家庭照顾者为研究对象,使用Herth希望指数量表及社会支持评定量表对晚期癌症患者家庭照顾者的希望水平及社会支持进行调查,采用自制调查问卷对晚期癌症患者及其照顾者进行一般情况、疾病情况及照顾相关情况进行调查.结果 :晚期癌症患者家庭照顾者希望水平总分为(36.57±4.65)分,总体处于中至高等水平;社会支持总分为(37.27±7.38)分,高于我国常模(P<0.01);希望水平总分与社会支持总分呈正相关(r=0.412);多元逐步回归分析显示,照顾者支持利用度、自评患者身体状况、客观支持、主观支持、家庭总月收入及年龄是影响其希望水平的主要因素.结论 :医务人员应加强对年龄较大、家庭总月收入较低、患者近两周身体状况较差及社会支持较少的家庭照顾者的关注,着重为其提供来自医务人员方面的知识信息及关怀支持,以提高其希望水平.
