Clinical Data In this series, all the 88 cases were out-patients, including 53 males and 35 females. Their age ranged from 20 to 75 years, and the course of illness from 1 month to 10 years. Of the 88 cases, 5 were primary sciatica, 49 were sciatica of the nerve trunk type, and 34 were sciatica of the nerve root type.
