这对于中国正推行节约型社会、优化用能结构以及新农村建设具有现实意义.%Under the background of climate change, the United Kingdom tries to shift to a low carbon economy, which requires urgent and radical changes to develop the wind energy. In new wind power plans, the government encourages "wind farm" which can be seen as relatively small-scale power generation, combined with local farm landscape. The essay selects the case study area in Sheffield to illustrate the British Landscape Character Assessment System (LCA) which is the guidance of wind farm planning strategy, provides methodology for relevant people who carry on the project to evaluate the feasibility of building wind farm, determines their size and selects the best position to build the wind turbine. This case provides a valuable example that is significant for Chinese substantial investment and development of new low-carbon and renewable energy infrastructure.
