西方经验:荒野制图技术发展及其在中国和东南亚的应用潜力

同颐了过去30年来欧洲、北美、澳大利亚、新西兰发展出的荒野制图方法.将荒野制图项目分为全球、区域、国家和地区尺度,并给出了关键案例.不同的荒野制图项目有不同的目的,包括定义荒野保护地,以及得出景观尺度的荒野质量(荒野特征)指数等.介绍了与数据质量和可用性相关空问尺度的重要性,以及荒野制图项目所处文化背景及其对制图目的和成果影响的重要性.总结并思考了西方荒野制图项目的经验如何应用于中国和东南亚国家.%This paper provides a review of approaches to wilderness mapping developed in Europe,North America and Australia/New Zealand over the last 30 years.These are classified into global,regional,national and local scale mapping projects and examples of key works are given.Distinctions are made between the purpose of mapping projects,whether to define wilderness protected areas or provide landscape scale indices of wilderness quality or character.A number of key lessons are highlighted including the importance of scale iu relation to data quality and availability,and the importance of recognising the cultural setting in which such mapping projects inevitably sit and how this effects the purpose and outcomes of any mapping work.The paper concludes with some thoughts on how lessons from western mapping projects can be applied to China and other countries in SE Asia.
