37 children with tuberculous panarthritis of the hip were treated by focal debrid ement and conventional anti-tuberculous therapy, with an average follow-up of 18 years (from 16 to 22 years). As a result,20 cases.(54%) got movable articular function and 17 cases (46%) got ankylosis. The results demonstrated that the focal debridement might shortened the treatment course and speed up pathological cure. The late morphological changes of the hip might be divided into three groups:1.Normal ball-and-socket type:the relation of the femoral head to acetabular was normal. This type had a fair articular function.2.The type of pseudarthrosis:the hip lost its normal structure and the femoral head disappeared.Pseudarthrosis involves femoral neck, greater or lesser trochanter with acetabular or illac region, and complicated by secondary pelvic tilt.3.Ankylosis type:in our series, only 3 cases got ankylosis in functional position, other 14 cases got ankylosis in non-functional position, with remaining severe deformities. Also discussed is its mechanism.%@@ 我院自1961年12月至1968年9月,共收治小儿髋关节结核82例,得到随访观察者37例,现将其远期疗效及髋关节形态的变化报告如下:
