Objective To study the curative effect of ear molding using the ear correction system in newborns and infants with congenital auricular deformities. Methods 32 cases of newborns and infants with congenital auricular deformities underwent ear molding using the ear correction system. The differences of therapeutic effect, the length of treatment, the incidence of complications and the recurrence rate were compared after 3 month's follow up. Results Comparing the results of 32 newborns and infants aging from 10 to 152 days, the mean age of 56.50 days , the mean treatment for 21 days, the effective rate was 90.63%. Among all the cases, 8 cases got skin ulcer. All cases were followed up in 3 months, the recurrence rate was 0. The curative effect was negatively correlated with age, the length of treatment was positive correlated with age. Conclusion It is a safe and effective treatment using ear molding in newborns and infants with congenital auricular deformities. The effective rate can be enhanced and the length of treatment can be shortened if we start the treatment as early as possible. It may be able to avoid an operation.%目的 研究使用耳廓矫形器对患有先天性耳廓形态畸形的新生儿及婴儿治疗的疗效.方法 对32例患有先天性耳廓形态畸形的患儿使用耳廓矫形器进行矫治,随访3月,比较不同年龄开始矫治的治疗效果、治疗时间、并发症发生率及复发率的差异.结果 32例新生儿及婴儿,年龄从10-152天,平均年龄56.50天,平均治疗天数21天,有效率达90.63%,8例发生了皮肤溃疡,随访3月复发率为0.疗效与年龄呈负相关,治疗天数与年龄呈正相关.结论 使用小儿耳廓矫形器矫治新生儿及婴儿先天性耳廓形态畸形是一种安全、有效的治疗方法,尽早进行矫治可以提高有效率、缩短治疗时间,避免手术治疗.
