Utilizing wild species and cultivated sunflower hybridization to creat new cytoplasmic male sterile line and restorer line is one of the most efficient methods in breeding. After self crossing pollination of selecting plants for multiple hybrid LD06F1, in F2, plant pairs of fertile and male sterile had been hybridized. Mixing solution of wild species (H. Petiolaris ) including whole DNA solution and diffused solution had daubed on the pollinated heads at the same time. CMSUA5 - 1 and maintaining line UB5 - 2 had been bred successfully through further generation segregation and selection. In the hybrids, tested CMSPET -1' s restore line did not restored CMSUA5 - 1, which proved that the restorer line differed from CMSPET -1' s restorer line. Restorer line UR5 - 3 only restored CMSUA5 - 1, which indicated that this restorer line UR5 - 3 could be a new restorer line for cultivated sunflower.
