This paper reports 224 oases of sporadio aoute hepatitis in Taiyuan city.Among them 28 oases(12.5%)were of non-A non-B hepatitis by serologio typing.Their average age Was 26 years.The major olinical features showed GI symptoms as fever,nausea and vomiting with short course,rapid recovery of liver function,SGPT level returned to normal within one month in 44.4% of the oases and 77.7% of the patients recovered within three months.No ohronio hepatitis was found.after 1-2 year2 follow-up study.These findings were similar to those of hepatitis A reported in India,but differed from reports of Japan,Europe, Amerioa and other regions in China.
