Objective To investigate the relationship of carotid arterial intima-media thickness (IMT) with serum ferritin(SF), apelin and insulin sensitivity index (IRI)in obesity and to explore the clinical significances. Methods Eighty patients with obesity were divided into two groups: normal IMT group(n=36, group B)and increased IMT group(n=44, group A). Eighty healthy people were chosen as controK group C). All patients and control received measurements of SF, apelin and IRI. Results The carotid arterial IMT, SF, apelin and IRI in group A were higher than in group B and C. There was a positive correlation of the levels of the carotid arterial IMT with SF, apelin and IRI. The SF level was positively correlated with SBP, FPG and IRI. The apelin level was positively correlated with IRI, Fins and BMI. Conclusion The carotid arterial IMT is significantly higher in obesity than in normal control, and the level of SF and apelin may predict the early stage of atherosclerosis in obesity.%目的 探讨肥胖者颈动脉内膜中层厚度(IMT)同血铁蛋白(SF)、Apelin及HOMA-IR的关系.方法 根据颈动脉IMT将肥胖者80例分为IMT增厚组(A组)和IMT正常组(B组),并选择80名健康者(C组)进行比较,分别进行SF、Apelin及HOMA-IR等参数测定.结果 A组的颈动脉IMT、SF、Apelin和HOMA-IR均分别显著高于B组和C组,颈动脉IMT和SF、Apelin、HOMA-IR等呈正相关,SF水平与SBP、FPG、HOMA-IR等呈显著正相关,Apelin水平与HOMA-IR、FIns、BMI等呈显著正相关.结论 部分肥胖者颈动脉IMT已明显升高,而血SF和Apelin可能对预测肥胖者早期动脉粥样硬化有重要意义.
