The role of liver X receptor a in neuronal damage induced by microglia activation

To study the role of LXRa in neuronal damage induced by microglia activation,BV2 cells were divided into control group,Aβ group,siRNA-LXRa group,siRNA+Aβ group and sham siRNA+Aβ group,arcl the supernatant of BV2 cells was used as conditioned medium to culture SH-SY5Ycells.WB,ELISA and.immunofluorescence were utilized to detect the expression of LXRa,COX-2,iNOS and Bax.Compared with the control group,BV2 cells in the Aβgroup and the siRNA group showed large cell bodies,LXRa protein level decreased significantly,the expression of COX-2 and iNOS increased significantly,and the supernatant of Aβtreated group and siRNA group reduced the survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells and increased the expression of Bax.
