The transition of the inferior gluteal artery to the popliteal artery is an.extremely rare arterial variation.By using CT angiography(CTA),we found a case whose right inferior gluteal artery transferred to the popliteal artery.A 73-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital with num bness, pain and low skin temperature in the right foot without obvious inducement".On physical examination, right dorsal foot artery pulsation disappeared, and lower limb artery embolism or thrombosis were considered clinically.Double lower limbs CTA examination found that the right internal iliac artery ran down the lateral wall of the pelvic cavity to the lesser pelvis, then dividing into main trunk, wall branch and the visceral branch.
