Objective To study the relationship between health status and social support of first hospitalized patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC ) .Methods 150 first hospitalized patients with NPC were surveyed by symptom checklist 90(SCL-90) and social support scale .Results The mental health status of the patients was poor .The scores of SCL-90 of patients were higher than that of the national norm .Education level ,source of treatment cost ,income were positively related to the mental health status of the patients . The social support was negatively related to interpersonal relationship ,paranoia and depression .Conclusion Social support and were closely related mental health of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients .Patients with low educational level ,got low income and social support ,paid the treatment cost at their own expense had poor psychological health status . Good social support can improve the mental health status of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma .%目的：探讨首次住院治疗鼻咽癌患者心理健康状况和社会支持的相关性。方法应用症状自评量表、社会支持量表对首次入住放疗三区的150例鼻咽癌患者进行调查分析。结果本组患者整体心理健康状况较差，SCL-90得分高于国内常模；文化程度、治疗费用来源、经济收入与患者心理健康状况呈正相关。社会支持与人际关系、偏执、抑郁均存在负相关。结论社会支持与鼻咽癌患者的心理健康密切相关，文化程度低、自费、经济收入低和社会支持度低的鼻咽癌患者心理健康状况较差，较好的社会支持可以改善鼻咽癌患者的心理健康状况。
