ForewordrnTritsug Detsen(khri-gtsug-Ide-btsan) is named Ke-Li-Ke-zu(khri-gtsug) or Kyitak Tsanpu(sKyid-rtag btsanpo) in ancient Chinese documents.1 He is commonly referred to as Ralpacan in Tibetan sources after the Tang Dynasty.2 In Tibetan history books he is honoured as one of the three great sage kings of the Tubo period, together with Songtsen Gampo(srong-rtsansgam-po) (?-649) and Trisong Detsen(Khri-srong Ldebtsan) (742-797).3
