Status of China's urban gas filling station Development scale China's urban gas filling stations have kept on increasing in recent years along with the development of gas autos. The number of urban gas filling stations in China increased to 712 in 2004 from 130 in 1999, with the growth rate 448 percent. The annual growth rate of LPG filling stations and CNG filling stations was 34.3 percent and 32.2 percent respectively (see Fig.1).
