Objective To investigate early clinical efficacy of arthroscopic lateral patellar retinacular release combined with femural condylar denervation for the treatment of patellofemoral osteoarthritis (PFOA). Methods From May 2013 to May 2015, 65 patients of PFOA were treated with arthroscopic lateral patellar retinacular release combined with femural condylar denervation. There were 22 males [aged 51-67 years with an average of (58.272 ± 4.333) years] and 43 females [aged 45-69 years with an average of (55.953 ± 5.363) years]. Before operation and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery, the subjective outcome was evaluated by Lysholm knee score scale (LKSS) and Visual analogue scale (VAS). Results Among the 65 patients, 59 cases were followed up for 12 months. The LKSS score was (66.706 ± 6.584) before surgery, (82.353 ± 4.663) 1 months after surgery, (84.941 ± 3.381) 3 months after surgery, (85.235 ± 3.784) 6 months after surgery, and (84.000 ± 4.458) 12 months after surgery. The VAS score was (6.400 ± 1.188) before surgery, (1.500 ± 0.513) 1 months after surgery, (1.000 ± 0.725) 3 months after surgery,(1.150 ± 0.815) 6 months after surgery, and (1.850 ± 0.875) 12 months after surgery. The differences were statistically significant ( < 0.001). Conclusions Arthroscopic lateral patellar retinacular release combined with femural condylar denervation is effective for significant relief of anterior knee pain and improvement of knee joint functions.%目的：探讨关节镜下外侧支持带松解联合股骨髁去神经化治疗髌股关节炎的近期疗效。方法2013年5月-2015年5月收治的髌股关节炎患者共65例。其中，男性22例，年龄51～67岁，平均（58.272±4.333）岁；女性43例，年龄45～69岁，平均（55.953±5.363）岁。采用关节镜下外侧支持带松解联合股骨髁去神经化治疗髌股关节炎。术前及术后1、3、6及12个月分别对患者膝关节进行Lysholm评分（LKSS），同时应用疼痛视觉模拟评分（VAS）对疗效进行评估。结果术后共59例患者得到随访，随访时间12个月。术前患者LKSS评分为（66.706±6.584）分，术后第1个月为（82.353±4.663）分，第3个月为（84.941±3.381）分，第6个月为（85.235±3.784）分，第12个月为（84.000±4.458）；VAS评分术前为（6.400±1.188）分，术后第1个月为（1.500±0.513）分，第3个月为（1.000±0.725）分，第6个月为（1.150±0.815）分，第12个月为（1.850±0.875）分，差异有统计学意义（<0.01）。结论关节镜下外侧支持带松解联合股骨髁去神经化治疗髌股关节炎可缓解膝前疼痛，改善膝关节功能。
