The leftascengding colon and transverse colon accompanied by right jejunum:a unique congential anomaly

The left ascengding colon and transverse colon is extremely uncommon.we reported the present rectal cancer case of a 71 -year-old male with this variation. The laparoscopic rectal resection for this patient was sucessfull,no complications were occurred.Knowledge of the current anomaly is of importance to the radiol0gists and sur-geons in genernal.Especially ,a clinician should pay more attention to the types of colon variation.As it helps to avoid complications associatied with anatomic variation during operation.
