By taking 22 listed enterprises of urban water industry in China as a research object and based on the develop-ment course, operation expansion and terrain expansion of listed enterprises of water industry in our country within 20 years, the paper indicates that the enterprise chain of water industry in our country shows subdivision and extension and the terrain expansion trends are obvious. The water industry has turned to the comprehensive service stage from the foundation construc-tion stage, but at the same time, terrain expansion imbalance is existed and the policy support is required.
