Two Heroines, Two Viewpoints of Women --Exploring Fitzgerald’s and Hemingway’s Views on Women Through Daisy and Brett

摘要

By comparing the two heroines Daisy Fay and Brett Ashley from The Great Gatsby and The Sun also Rises respectively,analyzing their relationship with the corresponding heroes and the heroes’ attitudes towards love,this thesis is designed to study Fitzgerald’s and Hemingway’s viewpoints of women through their life experiences and the sociocultural background.Through the analysis,it is revealed that Fitzgerald regards love as his ideal,while Hemingway can continue his life after the death of love.
