棚户区改造是当前城镇化建设的重要问题，是改善低收入人群居住条件和生活环境，完善住宅保障体系，而对于在特定历史语境下生长而成的棚户区面临“保护”与“拆迁”两个方面，如何在进行棚户区改造的过程中，保护及传承其具有历史文化价值街巷空间与传统生活模式成为首要问题。本文以云南曲靖西门街为例，探讨老街西门街棚户区的有机改造，以适应人居可持续发展趋势。%At present, the reconstruction of shanty area is either regarded as an important issue in urbanization, or a way to improve the living condition and environment of low-income groups as wel as to develop the residence security system. In terms of shanty area faced with “protection” and “removal”, under the specific historical context, how to protect and inherit street of historical and cultural value as wel as the mode of traditional life has become a top priority. To adapt to the trend of sustainable development of human setlement, this article takes the Ximen Street as an example, which is in the Qujing City of Yunan Province, and study on the organic transformation of shanty area of Ximen Street.
