Seriously-corroded and fragile cultural relics fetched in whole can be temporarily preserved.They are generally superimposed piece on piece and are poor in condition,and so require necessary protecting measures while cleaned in archaeological laboratories.This process carried out by antiquarian protectors is called archaeological laboratory cleaning.With their natural science background,these protectors show some advantages as well as certain limitation.The present paper reports the archaeological laboratory cleaning process of the bronzes from Western Zhou mounded tomb in Ouhai,Zhejiang and the preserving methods of antiquarian information,and discusses a few related problems.
