The comparative tests of bud length, hypocotyl thick, main radicle length, aeminal root number, total fresh weight, radicle and bud dry weight, total dry weight, storage material transporting rate and root activity were carried out from 29 cultivars ( lines) .The results showed that there existed the partial correlation between the root number and anti-premature senes-cence ability;The seed storage material transport rate showed senescence type ( 61.91%) >the normal mature type ( 54.85%) >Anti premature type (45.53%), and root activity showed Anti premature type [0.0829 mg/(g· h)]>the normal mature type [0.0467 mg/(g· h)]>senescence type [0.0304 mg/(g· h)], Therefore, seed storage transport rate and root activity could be used as the selection and identification index of anti-premature senescence ability at seed germination stage in Cucumis melon.%选取不同类型的29个甜瓜品种(系),对其种子萌发期的芽长、胚轴粗度、主胚根长、种子根数、总鲜重、根芽干重、总干重、干物质含量、种子贮藏物质转运率、根系活力等指标进行了比较试验研究。结果表明:甜瓜种子萌发期根数与抗早衰性间存在部分相关性;种子贮藏物质转运率和根系活力均与抗早衰性间存在较好的相关性,贮藏物质转运率表现为早衰型(61.91%)>正常成熟型(54.85%)>抗早衰型(45.53%),而根系活力表现为抗早衰型[0.0829 mg/(g· h)]>正常成熟型[0.0467 mg/(g· h)]>早衰型[0.0304 mg/(g· h)]。因此,种子贮藏物质转运率和根系活力均可作为甜瓜种子萌发期抗早衰性的鉴定指标。
