Huminology Approach in the Value Pursuit of the People's Livelihood Ideology and Practice

People's livelihood is an ancient but everlasting topic.People's livelihood issue,in the final analysis,is the issue about people.It is a major leap of the Administrative Concept of the CPC members to raise people's livelihood issue to the level of people's happiness and dignity,social fairness and harmony.As a result,it is of great value both theoretically and practically to inquire into people's livelihood issue based on the huminology approach.Ⅰ.The evolution of the concept of contemporary social development and the emergence of people's livelihood value Since the end of the Second World War,the concept of social development has experienced an evolution from 'economic growth first' to 'human free and all-round development' during the past 65 years.From the 1980s,people began to switch the visual angle of observing development from 'things-centered' to 'human-centered' ,which means the development of human is of greater importance than that of things,resulting in attaching more importance to human needs and human free and all-round development.The value orientation of the concept of modern social development is that economic growth doesn't end in itself,but is just a means and way by which people obtain their happiness and dignity,and realize social fairness and harmonious development. Value is a category of relations depending on both subject and object - the two components of it.People meet their own needs through development and must get happiness and dignity by participating in activities,labor and practices.And people,as the unification of subject and object during the labor process (practice),make it possible to realize fairness and harmony in their lives. The contemporary CPC members are well aware of that China's development includes not only doing well in economic construction,but also carrying forward social fairness and justice,promoting people's free and all-round development,and improving their 'sensation of happiness and dignity' .The Prime Minister Wen Jiabao,on behalf of the Chinese Government,declared: 'what we have done is to make our people live happier and more dignified,to make our society more fair and harmonious' ,which is in fact the declaration of practicing the 'people-oriented' administrative concept put forward by the CPC members.Such declaration explores the new orientation of China's current development and highlights the value pursuit of the contemporary Chinese people's livelihood ideology and practice.
