People's preferences and attitudes about spiritual leadership in Turkey

There is an increasing distrust against leaders throughout the world. Especially in Turkey, where the polarization has been emerged, community really suffered from abusing leaders. Both political and appointed leaders implemented wrong policies by looking down on people. These leaders believed that they were master of people, instead of being servant. After a two hundred year modernization adventure of Turks, impact of globalization and telecommunication, awareness has increased among people. Turkish people have started to realize discrimination between wrong and right. This process caused Turkish people head towards their own spiritual and religious values. Turkish people have started to look for these spiritual values on their leaders. In the present situation, Turkish people prefer spiritual leaders, who have integrity, humility, fairness, respect, ethics, faith, and religion.
