The general objective of education is to transmit culture through the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and the shaping of attitudes. Of these three requirements, attitude is the least understood. In order to correct this trend as it relates to an increasingly technologized civilization, technology education was recently recommended and introduced in some schools as a specific subject of the curriculum.;The purpose of the study was to examine how pupils perceived change in relation to their attitudes and concepts of general and particular technologies. The objectives of the research were posed as questions. Specifically, they were: (i) What is the relationship between reaction-to-change and attitude toward technology? (ii) What correlation is there between reaction-to-change and the concept of technology? (iii) What is the relationship between attitude toward technology in general and attitude toward computers as a form of technology? (iv) What is the relationship between pupil's concept of technology and attitude toward computers?;The methodology of the study involved surveying pupils in secondary education. The resulting data from the relatively homogeneous sample of the survey were statistically analyzed at the New York University Academic Computing Facility.;The researcher presented findings to the research questions in the chapter on analyses and discussion of results. The findings were amplified in the final chapters on conclusions and included in observations. Specifically, the teaching and curricular content of technology education were examined. Finally, the researcher suggested areas for future work.
