ouble stranded ribonucleic acid (ds-RNA) is a known interferon inducer. A mismatched form, p I;In asymptomatic HIV-infected subjects who received Ampligen (40-570 mg/m;Mixing human or rabbit serum with Ampligen or p I:C resulted in masking of the antiviral activity in cell culture. Heating the serum, before or after mixing, resulted in amelioration of that effect.
