Preserving Antiquities in a New Age: How the Failures of the Hague Convention allow Terrorists to Profit from the sale of Looted Antiquities by Katharine Harris proposes a solution for the funding of terrorist organizations through the sale of looted antiquities in the Middle East. The thesis tracks international legislation for the protection of antiquities during wartime, specifically focusing on The Hague Convention and its antiquated origins. The study proposes a third protocol be added to account for new modes of war being fought today that allow for terrorist organizations to profit from the sale of said antiquities.
