This study examined the benefits of a martial arts practice for children with Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The purpose of this study was to create a resource based in the literature that can be used by martial arts instructors who teach children with a diagnosis of ADHD. The method of this study was a mixed qualitative and demonstration design. After a review of the relevant literature, the researcher created an informational document. This resource aimed to offer a psychological perspective on ADHD, discuss why the martial arts can be helpful for symptoms of ADHD, and provide tips to instructors on how to effectively teach children with the disorder. The researcher recruited martial arts instructors to offer constructive feedback on the resource. This feedback was coded for thematic analysis, and was integrated into the document to create a final product.
