ASP.NET instructions with multi tiered architecture for Web applications.

摘要

This thesis is to explore logical layers of Multi-tier architecture and implement these methodologies with ASP.NET technology. Logical layers are separated by concepts regardless of physical configuration. The logical layer discussed includes Data Access Layer, Business Logic Layer, and Presentation Layer. They form the major part of the software application. Web services are discussed as part of business logic layer. An application is designed to demonstrate and discuss above-mentioned concepts. By separating presentation layer with other layers securing the application becomes more manageable. This thesis also discusses different types of securities available in ASP.NET and implements authentication at the application level using forms authentication. Some of the advantages of multi-layer architecture such as object reuse, making application scalable and easy system maintenance are demonstrated. Necessary instructions and documentation are provided for specific ASP.NET techniques used.
