英国文化协会研究及其对中国的影响

摘要

冷战结束后，伴随着经济全球化和政治多极化的步伐，世界正朝着文化多样化的方向发展。借助先进的信息技术及发达的大众传媒，对外文化交流达到了空前的规模和水平。在国际交往中，各国纷纷把注意力和重心从军事和经济领域转向文化领域，并把对外文化交流纳入到国家的整体外交事业中。文化外交不同于一般意义上的对外文化交流关系，它更加突出政府在对外文化关系中起到的作用。英国文化协会作为英国开展文化外交的重要载体，在推动英国与其他国家间关系，塑造英国形象扮演了重要角色。中国文化外交起步晚，具有管理系统混乱，评估体系缺失，文化活动单一，缺少长期战略等缺点。而中国文化外交面临的最大困难是，虽然非西方国家经济活跃，政治地位显著提升，但是英美文化仍旧为世界的主流文化，中国文化外交在实施过程中仍然处于劣势。而这也正是英国文化外交的比较优势所在。如何借鉴英国文化外交经验，突出重围,传播中国文化，树立中国形象显得格外重要。本文第一章分析了文化外交的概念和特点，第二、三章介绍了英国文化外交基本构架及历史，并以英国文化协会为例，分析了英国文化协会的传承，主要文化项目及发展趋势，本文第四章主要研究了中国文化外交中存在的问题，及如何借鉴英国文化外交协会的成功经验，抓住机会，成功开展带有中国特色的文化外交。
