摘要

数十年来,幽默研究逐渐进入了繁荣发展期。然而,针对单口秀中言语幽默的跨文化研究却不多见。本文旨在对比研究汉英单口秀中言语幽默的使用情况,以黄西的汉英节目秀为例,着重对比分析其中的言语幽默策略、言语幽默对象及言语幽默主题。研究语料共包括140个段子,自160分钟黄西中英文单口秀视频片段集分层抽样而来。文章依Berger(1976,1998)的分类法对中英文子语料库中的言语幽默策略进行了划分,同时对两个子语料库中的言语幽默对象和言语幽默主题分别进行了归类。通过Fisher的精确检验和对数似然率检验,探究结果否存在显著性差异。
  研究结果表明,汉英单口秀中的言语幽默策略较为相似,言语幽默对象和言语幽默主题则均存在显著性差异。具体而言,双关法在汉英单口秀中均为最常见的言语幽默策略。而黄西的朋友及家人、国家及人民和政经法及历史三个言语幽默对象;(不和谐的)社会现象/事件/现实、个人缺陷/缺点/失误、种族及移民身份和政经及历史四个言语幽默主题在汉英单口秀中均呈显著差异。此外,文章发现,黄西单口秀的言语幽默特征源于其充满异域风情的移民故事、作为外来者所自带的独特视角及其与众不同的个人形象和表演风格。研究还发现,高低权利的不同是造成上述差异的原因之一。研究得出结论,汉英言语幽默使用的不同体现了跨文化差异。研究揭示,应该培养跨文化意识以提升跨文化交际能力。
