On Translationg Chinese Political Neologisms into English

摘要

改革开放以来,我国社会生活各方面发生了翻天覆地的变化。由于新事物、新观念不断涌现,反映这些变化的汉语新词语也随之产生。汉语时政新词是中国政治、经济、思想、文化和社会发展的最新体现。因此,如何翻译汉语时政新词成为值得关注的问题。
　　诚然,许多研究在汉语时政新词翻译方面具有相当大的指导意义,但由于研究不够系统,因此尚不能规范时政新词的翻译。鉴于此,本文依据相关的翻译理论,以及大量新的例证作为依据,以期为汉语时政新词的英译进行科学系统的研究并为汉语时政新词翻译中出现的一些问题探讨可行的应对策略。
　　全文由六个章节组成。
　　第一章介绍本文的背景以及研究意义。
　　第二章通过大量相关数据探讨了汉语时政新词及其翻译翻面的大量研究及其成果。
　　第三章对汉语时政新词的定义、分类以及特点做出一个比较全面的归纳。在给出汉语新词的定义和时限后,文章就汉语时政新词的来源和内容进行分类,最后总结汉语时政新词的特点。
　　第四章作为文章的理论支柱,介绍了耐达的功能对等理论以及归化与异化的翻译技巧。
　　第五章是相关翻译理论在汉语时政新词英译中的应用。文章以大量实例,归纳出有效的翻译策略,例如:直译、直译加注、归译、对等、意译。
　　最后一章作出结论,并对日后研究提出建议。
