基于语料库的大学英语与三副英语阅读词汇对比研究

摘要

《航海类大学英语》是大学生最先接触的英语基础教材，《三副英语》是航海类学生最先涉及的船员适任考试培训教材，这两套教材对航海类专业学生的英语培养都有着举足轻重的作用。然而对两套教材之间衔接和对比的研究却寥寥无几。本文从词汇的角度对两套教材进行较为全面的分析，试图了解学习航海类大学英语教材的学生对三副英语的理解情况，也希望通过本研究对大学生海事英语教材的编写有所贡献。
　　 基于超过12万词的航海类大学英语与三副英语两个阅读部分语料库，在大量的统计计算和程序运行的支持下，具体研究以下四个问题:
　　 1.两套教材的词汇量与词汇密度;
　　 2.两套教材对普通大学英语六级词表的覆盖情况，三副英语阅读对大学英语阅读词表的覆盖情况
　　 3.两套教材高频词的分布情况对比及其构成分析;
　　 4.两套教材里一次频词的情况及其关系。
　　 研究结果表明，航海类大学英语的词汇密度高于三副英语，航海类大学英语词表比大学英语六级词表在三副英语中有更高的覆盖率，两套教材的高频词有较大的重合率，单独出现在三副英语的高频词大多数都与航海主题相关，三副英语的一次频词包含很多海事英语术语和缩略词，有39％出现在大学英语教材中。
　　 基于以上发现，与普通英语相比，航海类大学英语教材更好地衔接了三副英语教材。在实际的教学中，老师应注重学生对专业词汇的掌握。在航海类大学英语教材编写中，应提高部分词汇的重复率以加强学生对词汇的记忆，同时本文的研究数据也可以对教材编写提供参考。
