《认真的重要性》翻译项目报告

摘要

自翻译学成为一门独立的学科、有了系统的发展以来，学者们对戏剧翻译的研究也在不断地推进和加深。《认真的重要性》翻译项目报告通过对《认真的重要性》的戏剧语言分析、翻译实践与反思，探讨再现该戏剧语言难点的翻译策略。 该项目通过分析翻译实践中遇到的难点，即戏剧语言的音乐性、口语化、含蓄性等特点的翻译，并对比分析余光中、张南峰和笔者的翻译实践，总结出了一系列在译文中再现这些难点的翻译策略。主要研究结果如下:从余光中和张南峰所译的两版本《认真的重要性》和笔者的试译本对比可见:在头韵的翻译中形式对等策略非常重要。译文应借用汉语的韵律方式尽量保存、模仿原文的韵律和结构。在体现口语化特点时，译者通常会在译文中添加合适的语气词等。而在翻译省略句时，除对应策略外，有时则会根据译语特点和习惯进行重构。在体现含蓄性特点时，译者通常需要在挖掘其隐含意义的基础上重构译文，而有时甚至不得不采取淡化策略。可以说创造性补偿是翻译中再现《认真的重要性》戏剧语言风格的一个不可或缺的策略。
