近些年来，人们逐渐增加了对秩集样本的关注，发现在使用相同样本容量时秩集样本通常会比简单随机样本得到更多的信息，于是人们自然会想到使用秩集样本来替换现有的简单随机样本进行估计、检验。但由于通常秩集样本的分布并不像简单随机样本那样可以显式表达，使得它的应用范围并不像简单随机样本那样广范。这里根据秩集样本的渐近正态性为其提供了一种使用方法。为秩集样本的应用提供了一点思路。 这里考虑的特定问题为正态总体均值的凸集检验问题。
