口译与跨文化交际能力——基于广西大学的问卷调查

摘要

21世纪以来，世界各国在经济、政治、文化等方面的来往日益密切，跨文化交际活动也日趋频繁。L．S．Harms（胡文仲，1999：2）认为，近二十年来的交际是以跨文化为特征的，跨文化交际的重要性与语言的产生可以相提并论，跨文化交际已成为当今时代的一个突出特征。
　　 口译活动在跨文化交际中充当着桥梁作用。它使来自不同文化背景，说着不同语言的人们能够顺利地进行交流。因此，口译不仅是将信息从一种语言形式转换为另一种语言形式的言语交际行为，同时也是一种跨文化交际行为。作为一种重要的跨文化交际手段，它在翻译语言的同时，承载着沟通思想，交流文化的重任。
　　 作为跨文化交际活动的桥梁，译者不仅要掌握本民族的文化，还应对其他民族的文化有所了解。在跨文化交际中，跨文化意识以及跨文化交际能力对译者特别是口译者尤为重要。
　　 本研究是一项尝试性的研究，其探讨并分析了口译员跨文化交际能力培养的现状以及跨文化交际能力对口译的影响，旨在探寻跨文化交际能力培养及教学方面存在的问题，以期为跨文化交际教学的改进、进一步提高口译培训质量提供一定的参考依据。
　　 本研究通过自己设计的问卷，采用定性研究和定量研究相结合的方法，对广西大学英语专业研究生、英语专业本科生及非英语专业研究生共计291名进行了问卷调查。在收集收集调查结果的基础上，利用SPSS15.0对问卷中封闭性问题的数据进行了定量分析，对问卷中开放性问题进行了定性分析。
　　 本研究发现：（1）文化因素在口译中至关重要，跨文化交际能力在口译中扮演着重要角色。口译员的跨文化交际能力和其口译质量息息相关。（2）跨文化交际能力培养现状不容乐观。许多高校没有开设专门的跨文化课程并缺乏专门教材，也鲜有开设中国文化课程。（3）跨文化课程结构设置不完善，内容和方式上缺乏科学性和多样性。
