ENHANCED TRAFFIC SAFETY TROUGH INTEGRATED PUBLIC TRANSPORT NETWORK

摘要

The paper presents an analysis of land use and traffic and safety conditions before theimplementation of integrated PT-network lines in the pilot area in Bratislava, Capital ofSlovakia, as well as the benefits following its startup in terms of accessibility to the area, itsenvironmental impact, improving the quality of transport, and increasing road safety.The content of the article is the output of comprehensive land use and transport planningresearch, comprising mobility behavior and traffic safety, which was developed based onthe findings of the VEGA No.1/0351/13 research project, "Traffic areas and their structuresin an integrated transport space" [1].
