Dynamic load measurements on helicopter rotor blades of Russian origin

摘要

The flight load measurement was carried out as a part of the long term plan for life extension of MI-8/MI-17 helicopters. The data will be used for fatigue testing of the tail rotor blade. Based on the experience, a methodology has been evolved to measure the loads in any typical loading environment for the helicopter components. The work was carried out as a team involving members from design, operations, research and certification agencies.
