FEM three-dimensional simulation has been employed as an efficient tool to describe and compare the different parameters in pipe rolling via hot pilger. The aim of simulation is to measure the extent of longitudinal strain in the pipe, hi this paper, longitudinal strain has been studied considering traverse speed, rotational speed of pilger rollers and the rotation extent of shell as long with the mandrel. After finishing the simulation process, the obtained data were compared with the experimental data. Upon this process, the shell as long with the mandrel are located in the pilger stand and with a linear moving (Reciprocating motion) of mandrel and shell, the shell passes through the pilger stands and turn into the pipe. With passing the shell through the pilger stand, external diameter, internal diameter, thickness and pipe length are adjusted. A finite element software (Abaqus CAE) was employed for the simulations.
