Interactive developments require the collaborative efforts of traditional software engineering and human-centred design (HCD). Organizations that develop interactive products must establish a multi disciplinary culture and integrate human-centred design into the mainstream software development process. REMA a process-based perspective supports human-centred software development by the Reuse of Experience and Metrics Assessment. REMA introduces knowledge management and quantitative assessment to desegregate the behavioural and constructional software development processes. Quantitative assessment of human-centred process performance assess an organizations competency level in defining, practicing and integrating human-centred activities into traditional software development. Knowledge management captures and disseminates human-centred process and activity knowledge by introducing a knowledge-sharing culture that capitalises on the reuse of human-centred knowledge to eliminate redundant efforts and afford the benefits of human-centred experience reuse to be conferred organization-wide. Collaboratively these strategies raise an organizations human-centred maturity up the Usability Maturity Model capability scale.
