摘要

New types of synclirotron x-ray imaging such as fluorescent x-ray CT and phase-contrast x-ray imaging arc being developed for biomedical research. While fluorescent x-ray CT (FXCT) can delect specific heavy atomic number elements at very low content (less than a few picogram iodine in a volume of 10~(-6) ml), the phase-contrast x-ray imaging is a highly sensitive imaging technique to differentiate the tissue in biological object. Therefore, with the high-contrast and high-spatial resolution, the functional information is revealed by FXCT and the morphological information is depicted by phase-contrast x-ray imaging.
