摘要

Today the internet and its related technologies are already being used in numerous fields of application and they will evidently have a deeper impact on automation in the future. This paper will present a concept of internet based remote control and remote maintenance which relies on the Automatic Control Markup Language (AConML). This is a specific, XML defined markup language that is currently being designed individually to complete these tasks. AConML enables communication among heterogeneous software and hardware platforms and therefore extends interchange-ability in combination with standard transfer protocols employed by the internet. For this reason the solution is cost-efficient and at the same time it offers an opportunity for creating a standardized remote control and remote maintenance system.
