METRICS FOR SIMULATION BENEFITS EVALUATION IN COMMUNICATION INDUSTRY

摘要

The paper proposes an integrated approach for comparing results among different forecasts systems devoted to support production planning. The simulation model developed by the author is used as reference for evaluating the performance of the overall system; the metrics methodology allows to evaluate quantitatively the performances achieved by the different forecasts systems (Commercial offices, Neural Networks, Fused Data), the production planning and by the effective production departments. The paper includes experimental results reporting about effective results obtained by applying this approach in a large manufacturing producer operating in communication industry.
