Information technologies are offering useful methods and tools for many fields in the societies, and higher education is not an exception. In an attempt to introduce those advantages into the educational labor of the Faculty of Architecture of LUZ (FADLUZ), a group of professors are undertaking a series of experimentation works about automated tools applied to the teaching and learning processes. As a first proposal within our institutional context, this paper resumes preliminary results of a research project, which intends to establish a methodology for the development of automated tools, using telematic networks. Two initial tools have been already developed with an experimental view, considering WEB technology as a powerful medium for their construction. Both tools are referred to sewage systems on buildings. They offer information and facilitate its evaluation. This topics usually need of modelling resources, laboratories, or cross-referenced information, which are difficult to handle on traditional teaching strategies. Tools effectiveness has been tested during class sessions. Finally, this research establishes a new way of attractive and easy-to-use mediums to enhanced face to face teaching environment on the FADLUZ, to aid in the traditional learning process.
