Application in Mould Industry of a Distributed Agent System Based on a Visual Blackboard

摘要

Recently agent technology development has had a big increase. Agent systems have been applied to many areas and it has been considered as an important approach for developing industrial distributed systems. Our purpose is the use of multi-agent systems in industry for the development of real-world applications. The present project is centred in mould industry. The objective of the project is to develop a multi-agent system which provides flexible integration of software tools to support the specific needs of the mould industry, providing users with a sufficient knowledge base to resolve problems and assist decision-making in the process of mould design. This project is being carried out within the Centre de Referenda en Tecniques Avancades de Produccio (CeRTAP) of the Generalitat de Catalunya (regional government).
